How to Download watchOS 10 Dev Beta on your Apple Watch

Today, Apple kicks off its World Wide Developer Conference (WWDC), showcasing its latest software advancements. Among the updates, watchOS 10 brings a much-needed software upgrade to the Apple Watch. These are some key attractions of watchOS 10 – new Smart Stack, Redesigned apps, Health Features, new Watch Faces, and more.

watchOS 10 is already available to developers for testing purposes, if you are a developer, then here’s how you can download and install watchOS 10 beta on your Apple Watch.

The eligibility criteria remain unchanged for watchOS 10, which means the update is available for everyone running on watchOS 9. watchOS 10 is available for Apple Watch Series 4 or newer models. Apple pushes the new software to the watch with 21R5275t.

Currently, the new software is exclusively available for developers, with the public beta expected to arrive early next month. If you are a developer, you can freely install the watchOS 10 dev beta on your watch.

Speaking of the changes, then watchOS 10 comes with new Smart Stack Widgets which can be accessed easily with a turn of the digital crown. Apple also redesigned the apps to work better with Apple Watch’s display. The update also brings improvements to Cycling and Hiking features. iOS 17 features such as offline maps and NameDrop also work with watchOS 10. watchOS 10 Developer Beta

If your iPhone or iPad is running on the latest version of iOS 17 developer beta, then you can easily sideload the watchOS 10 beta on your Watch.

  1. Open the Watch app on your iPhone.
  2. Tap General > Software Update.
  3. Select Beta Updates and enable watchOS 10 Developer Beta option.
  4. Go back and download the first beta of watchOS 10.
  5. That’s it.

Make sure that your Apple Watch is charged at least 50% and connected to a WiFi network. After installing the beta profile, open the Apple Watch app on your phone, head over to General > Software Update > Download and Install, then install the new software.

Now the watchOS 10 beta update will download and transfer to your Apple Watch. And after the completion of the installation process, your watch will restart. Once all done, you can start using your Apple Watch.
