Redmi by Xiaomi brings a new entry-level companion in the market with some notable upgrades like a big battery, display, and few other things. The Redmi 8A comes with a 6.22-inch HD LCD display which is in 720 X 1520 pixels resolution and has a dot notch at the top (a fancy name for teardrop notch). The smartphone houses with the Snapdragon 439 SoC and runs on Android Pie 9.0 based on MIUI 10. It is available in two different storage options, with 2GB/3GB RAM along with 32GB inbuilt storage option.

You can expand the storage up to 512GB via microSD card. The smartphone has a single-lens camera on the back and a single on the front. It has a 12MP primary lens which has an f/2.0 aperture, dual PDAF, HDR, an LED light and a few other features. On the front, the smartphone comes with 8MP selfie shooter which uses AI for better images. The smartphone will be available from September 29 on Flipkart and the company’s official website.

The Redmi 8A bundled with a 5,000mAh battery and sports 18W fast charging. The price for the new Redmi 8A starts at Rs. 6,499 for 2GB RAM variant and Rs. 6,999 for 3GB RAM variant.
