Asus unveiled its newest gaming phone, the ROG Phone 8, at CES 2024 last month. There are two phones in the lineup – ROG Phone 8 and ROG Phone 8 Pro. The vanilla models retain the flashy materials and RGBs, while, the ‘Pro’ model looks more like a normal phone, thanks to the toned-down flashy gaming design.

Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro – Quick Overview

Asus launched its new gaming phones globally, which are already available in the European market, India, and Taiwan. They are set to become available in the US in the first quarter. Before moving to the wallpapers section, here’s a quick look at the specs of the new phones. Starting from the front, the ROG Phone 8 Pro features a 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED panel with a refresh rate 165Hz, a bright screen with peak brightness of up to 2,500nits, and HDR10 support.

Under the hood, the ROG Phone 8 Pro boasts the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor and Adreno 750 GPU. In terms of software, the phone runs on the Android 14 operating system and packs many AI features for better gaming performance and wallpaper generation. ROG Phone 8 Pro comes in 16GB and 24GB RAM options; alongside the 512GB and 1TB storage options. This year’s phone is also tagged with the IP68 for water rating.

In terms of camera, this year’s phone is billing with a 50MP Sony IMX890 main camera with Super HyperSteady Video mode, a 13MP ultra-wide-angle sensor, and a 32MP telephoto camera. For selfies, the ROG Phone 8 Pro comes with a 32MP snapper.

Asus bundles the latest gaming phone with a 5,000mAh battery and supports 66W fast charging. The Pro model starts at €1,199 in Europe. So, these are the specs of the new ROG Phone 8 Pro, now let’s move on to the wallpapers section.
