Motorola announced the fifth-generation Razr phones two weeks ago, and the devices are now up for pre-orders. Starting today, you can pre-order the Razr or Razr+. Both phones will go on sale from July 24.
The Moto Razr (2024) duo comes with several improvements, a bigger external display, better cameras, a bigger battery, fast charging, 165Hz refresh rate, and an upgraded chipset. However, as a foldable smartphone, does the Moto Razr include a fingerprint sensor?
Let’s find out.
Does Motorola Razr have Fingerprint sensor?
Yes, the Motorola Razr 2024 duo boasts a physical fingerprint sensor embedded in the power button. You can place your finger on the power button to use the fingerprint sensor, it will automatically detect your fingerprints.
Fingerprint sensor acts as an additional layer of security over the traditional PIN, pattern, or password security features. Moreover, you can use it to lock compatible third-party apps, social media apps, and bank and finance apps for secure online purchases.
If you share your phone with friends or family, you can add more than one fingerprint for a better experience.
How to Setup Fingerprint Sensor on Moto Razr (2024)
Before setting up a new fingerprint, it’s important to follow best practices; make sure your finger is clean and dry, and cover the fingerprint properly during the scanning process. Here’s how you can setup fingerprint on your Moto Razr 2024.
Step 1: Open Settings on your Moto Razr.
Step 2: Select Security & Privacy > Device unlock.
Step 3: Select the Fingerprint option and follow the on-screen instructions to add your fingerprint. (Make sure to set a PIN, pattern, or password before setting up a fingerprint)

If you want to add more than one fingerprint, then you can follow the same steps, you will be prompted with a PIN, password, or pattern during the setup process for identity verification.
If you want to remove it, you can go to Settings > Security & privacy > Device Lock > Fingerprint, then tap the recycle bin icon to remove saved fingerprints.
