Apple has just released the second beta of watchOS 26.5 for testing purposes. The gradual upgrade comes out two weeks after the release of the initial watchOS 26.5 build. The update is designed to bring some new additions to the Apple Watch.
Apple plants the new software upgrade on the eligible watch models with 23T5553h build number. The incremental upgrade weighs around 820MB of download size. In terms of eligibility, if your watch is running on watchOS 26 or newer, you can update to watchOS 26.5. It is a free upgrade, so if you’re a developer, you can easily update your Apple Watch to the latest watchOS 26.5 beta.
Following the previous trend, Apple didn’t mention any new changes in the release notes. However, iOS 26.5 beta users have discovered notable additions for iPhone and Watch, such as end-to-end encryption for RCS, Notification forwarding outside the EU, CarPlay improvements, and more.
