Apple drops fourth beta of iOS 17.5 to developers

Currently, Apple is beta testing iOS 17.5 on iPhone. Today, the tech giant released the fourth beta of the update which takes us closer to the public release that we get to see in May. As usual, iOS 17.5 Beta 4 is available to developers first and will soon be available to Public beta users.

Like many of you, I too am waiting for the iOS 18, which is said to bring some much-awaited features, especially new AI features. Until then we have to settle with the iOS 17 updates. If you don’t know, WWDC 2024 event is set to take place on June 10, which means we don’t have to wait long.

Along with the fourth beta of iOS 17.5, today Apple also dropped iPadOS 17.5 Beta 4, watchOS 10.5 Beta 4, tvOS 17.5 Beta 4, macOS Sonoma 14.5 Beta 4, macOS Ventura 13.6.7 RC4, macOS Monterey 12.7.5 RC4, and visionOS 1.2 Beta 4. The iOS 17.5 Beta 4 comes with build number 21F5073b which is also the same for iPadOS 17.4.

iOS 17.5 Beta 4 Update

It’s been only a couple of hours since the release of fourth beta, so not all the changes are known yet. But from some early feedback, it looks like iOS 17.5 Beta 4 fixes the wallpaper dimming bug. I will be updating all the findings in a list below.

As I mentioned earlier, iOS 17.5 Beta 4 is available first to Developers. It is expected to be available to Public Beta users soon as early as within a day. As usual, to test this beta build you need to opt for the beta option in the Software update page. Once opted for beta, you will see the update that you can Install on your iPhone. Before the update, make sure to take a backup of your data.
