Apple releases third beta of iOS 17.5, iPadOS 17.5, watchOS 10.5, and more

After making the “Let Loose” special event announcement, Apple released the third beta of iOS 17.5 for developers. The new beta comes out after one week of the second beta. The update carries several changes and enhancements.

Apple seeds the third beta of iOS 17.5 with a 21F5063f build number, the incremental upgrade is relatively larger than the previous update, weighing 627MB in download size. Apart from the iOS 17.5 beta, Apple kicked off the incremental beta of iPadOS 17.5, watchOS 10.5, and more. Here are the build numbers of following updates.

  • iPadOS 17.5 third beta – 21F5063f
  • watchOS 10.5 third beta – 21T5560d
  • macOS Sonoma 14.5 third beta – 23F5064f
  • tvOS 17.5 third beta – 21L5558d
  • visionOS 1.2 third beta – 2105570d

Developers and public beta testers can install these updates on Apple devices for free. If your device is already running on the second beta of following updates, then you can simply install the incremental update.

Talking about the changes coming with iOS 17.5, then update brings the ability to download apps directly from websites (the change is limited to EU users only), the home screen gets a new podcast app widget, Apple News+ subscribers can play Quartiles, which is a new daily word game, other than that, there are system-wide enhancements.

If you have an eligible iPhone and want to test the new iOS beta build, you can opt for the beta in Settings > General > Software Update.

Currently, the update is available for developers but soon it will be available to public beta testers as well. Once the update is available you can download and install it on your phone.
