How to Translate Text in the Camera app on iPhone

Live Text is one of the best features available in the Camera app on iPhone. iOS 16 brings some new features to the Live Text.

The newest version of iOS - iOS 16 let users translate text in the camera app using the Live Text feature.

Initially, the option to translate text using Live Text feature was limited to the Photos app, but, now it is available inside the camera app.

The feature is available on iOS 16, so, make sure to update your iPhone to the latest software. Already on iOS 16? Then, here’s how you can translate text in the camera app.

Open the Camera app on your iPhone, position the viewfinder over the text you want to translate.

Now tap the Live Text button available at the bottom right corner of the viewfinder.

Select Translate, the text will automatically get translated to the language you set as default language on your iPhone.

Now there’s no need to take a shot of the text for translating, iOS 16 allows you to directly translate text inside the camera app.
