We can use third party apps to set custom charging animation on Android phone. For this guide we will be using the Pika Charging Show app.

You need to sideload a third-party app - Pika charging show from the Play Store. Open the app and grant required permissions.

Tap on Charging Animation and browse the animation that you like. You can head over to the Free section for ad-free animations.

Choose the animation you like. You can also change the preferences by tapping the right icon, then save the customized animation.
