Motorola’s Razr 70 series is doing a lot of rounds on the internet, and of course, it’s all for good reason. With the device’s launch being imminent, the past week has seen a ton of leaks and renders of the new clamshell from the manufacturer.
So far, the colors, storage options, and designs for the Razr 70 Ultra have been leaked. Now, thanks to the guys at Android Headlines, we have confirmed specs for the new Razr 70 Ultra.
So let’s dive into the specs powering the freshly baked Motorola Razr 70 Ultra.
Motorola Razr 70 Ultra – The Specs
Powering the heart of the Razr 70 Ultra will be the Snapdragon 8 Elite from 2025. Yes, the same SoC that powered the Razr Ultra 60 series last year. Now it’s a no-brainer to skip the Razr 70 Ultra if you already own the Razr 50 or even the Razr 60 series.
Moving on to RAM and storage, the Razr 70 Ultra will continue with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. There are doubts about whether a 12GB RAM variant will be available, given that hardware pricing and availability in 2026 are all over the place.
Dimensions-wise, the Razr 70 Ultra measures 171.48 × 73.99 × 7.19 mm when in an open state, and it weighs 199 grams. The device comes with the same 7-inch inner display at a 1224 X 2992 resolution, while the outer display is a 4-inch screen at a 1080 X 1272 resolution. Overall, there’s not much difference between the Razr 60 Ultra and the Razr 70 Ultra.
Even the design and styling for the Razr 70 Ultra are identical to its predecessor, except for the color options. No one in their right mind would buy the Razr 70 Ultra just because it comes in new colors. The only significant difference between the two devices is the battery capacity.
The Razr 60 Ultra was capped at 4,700 mAh, whereas the upcoming Razr 70 Ultra tops out at 5,000 mAh. The forthcoming foldable continues to come with 68W wired charging. Dust and water resistance for the Razr 70 Ultra is rated at IP48.
The camera department on the Razr 70 Ultra comes with a dual rear camera setup containing a main camera and an ultra-wide lens, both at 50MP. There’s also the same 50MP selfie shooter from the Razr 60 Ultra.
On the software side of things, Motorola will be shipping the Razr 70 Ultra with Android 16 out of the box, with the device being one of the first few Motorola devices to get the update to Android 17. The Razr 70 Ultra will get three years of software updates and four years of security updates and patches.
Prices for the Razr 70 Ultra are expected to be similar to the launch prices for the Razr 60 Ultra, but given the market conditions and availability of hardware, we could see a price increase when the device launches towards the end of April 2026.
