Motorola Edge 50 Fusion Receives Android 16 Beta Update

Last month, Motorola began inviting users to participate in its Android 16 beta, which went live for more than a dozen Motorola phones, and the Moto Edge 50 Fusion is a part of the list. Now the phone has started receiving its first Android 16 beta build.

At the moment, the Android 16 beta is rolling out to Edge 50 Fusion users in Brazil; we can expect a wider rollout in the coming days. The update is already live for some users, @li2002a on Telegram confirmed receiving it. While he didn’t provide a specific list of changes, a video he shared shows that Android 16 brings support for Circle to Search.

Android 16 will be a second major OS upgrade for the Edge 50 Fusion, and so the update weighs approximately 1.5GB in download size. Please ensure you have enough storage on your device. The update will bump up the monthly security patch version to July 2025.

Talking about other features and changes, we can expect support for Android 16 features like Live updates, Desktop Window, Group notifications, New Emojis, Embedded Photo Picker, APV codec support, Predictive Back upgrades, HDR screenshots, Advanced Protection Mode, and more.
