Following the release of iOS 18.6 RC yesterday, Apple has now released the fourth beta of iOS 26 to developers. If you’ve been waiting for the public beta, you might have to wait a bit longer. Apple may release the public beta either tomorrow or sometime next week.
Alongside iOS 26 Beta 4, Apple has also released iPadOS 26 Beta 4, watchOS 26 Beta 4, tvOS 26 Beta 4, macOS Tahoe 26 Beta 4, and visionOS 26 Beta 4. The update sizes varies depending on your device and the version you’re currently running. For example, on my iPhone 13, the update is around 3GB. The latest beta comes with the build number 23A5297i.
Since this is only the fourth developer beta of the upcoming iOS release, it’s expected to include some new features and noticeable changes. The fourth beta brings back some glass effects that were removed in the third beta. Apart from the visual changes, the update also focuses on improving stability and addressing various bugs. Since the update has just been released, we’ll explore the update and if more changes appear, we’ll add them below to a list.
The iOS 26 is one of the biggest updates in recent years with major changes. This means more users are eager to try it out early compared to previous iOS releases. If you’ve already joined the developer beta, the iOS 26 Beta 4 should now be available for download on your device.
If you haven’t installed the developer beta but want to try iOS 26, it’s best to wait for the public beta, which could arrive as early as tomorrow or early next week. To join the beta, go to Settings > General > Software Updates > Beta Updates and choose iOS 26 Beta. If you’re planning to test it on a secondary device, you can choose the iOS 26 developer beta, which is always released before the public beta.
