Prerequisites

  • Take a full backup of your Mac in iCloud or an external hard disk
  • Download macOS Big Sur PKG Installer from Apple

  • Make sure the Mac has enough power

Steps to Install macOS Big Sur

Once you have all the required files, you can proceed with the installation instruction.

  1. First Unzip the macOS installer hack and copy the hax.dylib and paste it into the home folder.
  2. Open the Assistant.pkg from the installer hack folder and install all the required files. It will install software of size 20.1 MB.
  3. After clicking the Install button, enter the password if it asks and click Install again.
  4. Now you need to boot your Mac into Recovery mode. To boot into Recovery press Command + R keys together during startup until it boots into Recovery.

  6. Enter the below command and provide the login password when it asks.
    • sudo defaults write /Library/Preferences/com.apple.security.libraryvalidation.plist DisableLibraryValidation -bool true
  7. After that enter another command given below.
    • launchctl setenv DYLD_INSERT_LIBRARIES $PWD/Hax.dylib
  8. Boot your Mac into the system and run the macOS Big Sur installer app that you installed during step 3.
  9. Follow the instructions given in the installer and it will take time depending on your internet speed.
  10. Once it’s done you will see the macOS Big Sur wallpaper on your Mac screen.
