Asus’s latest ZenFone will be available in different regions across global in the coming days. Before heading over to the next section, here’s your sneak peek at the specs of the new Asus ZenFone 9. Starting from the front, then the device dons a 5.9-inch OLED panel from Samsung with a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+, 445ppi pixel density, and more. Under the hood, the ZenFone 9 is equipped with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset and launches with stock Android 12 OS (will receive 2 major OS upgrades and 2 years of security patches in the future).
Asus ZenFone 9 goes official in three different memory configurations that include 8GB / 128GB, 8GB / 256GB, and 16GB / 256GB options. There’s no space for a microSD card slot in the ZenFone 9. In terms of optics, the new model is billing with a dual-lens camera module on the back. The setup features a 50MP main Sony IMX766 sensor with f/1.9 aperture, PDAF, Gimbal OIS, and other basic features. The secondary sensor on the back is a 12MP ultra-wide Sony IMX363 sensor with macro photography support. Moving to the front, then it features a 12MP selfie shooter.
The new ZenFone 9 boasts a 4,300mAh battery and sports 30W fast charging with HyperCharging bundled in the box. Asus launches the ZenFone 9 in Midnight Black, Moonlight White, Starry Blue, and Sunset Red colors. It is priced at €800 for 8GB / 128GB variant and will be available in Europe, Taiwan, and Hong Kong first, later joining Noth America, Japan, Indonesia, and parts of South America.
