Multiplayer action games are quite fun when you’ve got friends to play with you. There’s an end number of multiplayer action games for gamers to choose from. Warframe, Borderlands 3, Payday2, Rainbow Six Siege, etc. are some of the popular multiplayer action games. These games get more fun and interesting when it’s about survival and zombies – the best of both worlds.
Today we will cover a rather interesting zombie game – Zombie Army 4: Dead War. We will be covering the Zombie Army 4 download, gameplay, system requirements, what platforms you will be to play it on, and other news. Zombie Army 4 is developed by Rebellion Developments and was released on the 4th of February 2020. This is the sequel to the 2015 game Zombie Army: Trilogy and spin-off to their earlier series Sniper Elite.
Zombie Army 4 Gameplay
The game takes place in 1946 after the big events that took place in Zombie Army: Trilogy. It’s about the dead war, where dead German soldiers resurrect to become zombies and fight up against their opponents to bring back victory.
The game lets you keep a primary and a secondary weapon alongside side other weapons such as grenades and landmines to toss around as well as melee weapons. The grenades, landmines, and trip mines can be used to distract the zombies and get them killed. Everything from the weapons to its sound effects has been taken from the previous game Sniper Elite 4. With that being said, yes you get to make use of snipers, which can be used for certain kills, plus a cinematic shot that was seen in Sniper Elite 4. Setting traps is helpful in Zombie Army 4 as it will lure the zombies to a place and blast them up. This works best if you have too many of these zombies coming after you to attack.
The campaign mode is kind of a repetitive process. You could call it grinding to progress to the next level. You can keep killing the zombies and then earn various kill combos. This can also be done by using melee weapons too. The game has a medium number of weapons and upgrades options. Every time you level up you unlock new perks, skins, and even emotes. Not really sure why you want to have emotes in a Zombie game but there it is.
The game has three kinds of modes for you to choose from. The campaign mode lets you go on an endless trail of killing out zombies back-to-back. Then there’s Cooperative mode where you and a group of your friends can team up and wipe out these zombies. The last mode is the Horde mode. This is where you will be collecting and looting as much ammo as you can to mow down hordes of zombies that are coming right after you. The game doesn’t have any story mode as such, but to make it fun and engaging, you play around with the difficulty modes to make the game more thrilling.
OfCourse playing and doing the same things over and over again is pretty much borderline boring. However, the game keeps dropping in new content for players to enjoy plus weekly events as well. Like a lot of games out there, Zombie Army 4: Dead War has also has season passes. Currently, Season 2 is live. This season started up all the way in October 2020. The devs had released a roadmap indicating what all we could expect to arrive in the new season that would expand for quite some time. This is a great game for those who enjoyed the Sniper Elite series. However, the game doesn’t look like it will stay for a long time and might lose support in a year or two. However, if you enjoy Zombie games then you can wait for the upcoming Zombie survival game The Day Before which is expected to launch later this year on PC. We are yet to know if the game will available for console players or no.
