[Update: Arrived in India] Xiaomi starts rolling Android 11 Update for Mi 10 (Global Stable)

Two months ago, Xiaomi kicked-off MIUI 12 stable update for the Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro. Now the company has started pushing yet another MIUI 12-based update, Yes, I am talking about the much-awaited Android 11 update. The new update bumps up with a bunch of useful features and the latest security patch. Here’s everything you need to know about the Xiaomi Mi 10 Android 11 Stable Update.

Last week, Xiaomi’s mid-range Redmi Note 9 Pro received Android 11 update. Now the company rolls out it to its flagship, the update is seeding with V12.2.1.0.RJBMIXM build number. Obviously, it’s a heavier update weighs approx. 2.8GB of download size. Luckily, the recovery ROM is available for manually sideloading on Mi 10. As I said earlier, the update is rolling with a slew of new features.

Mi 10 Android 11 Global Stable Update comes with features like Chat Bubble, new Power Menu, Internal Audio recording, Smart Reply, interactive Media controls, Improved Security, and a few more features. It is also seeding with the essential features of MIUI 12, including new animations, intuitive UI, customizations, and obviously the MIUI 12 Wallpapers. Android 11 Update for Xiaomi Mi 10 – Changelog

System

  • Stable MIUI based on Android 11
  • Updated Android Security Patch to October 2020. Increased system security.

Camera

  • New: New templates for vlogs.
  • New: Vlogs can now be saved as drafts.
  • Optimization: New vlog templates and presets will be available for downloading from the cloud from now on.

Xiaomi Mi 10 Android 11 Update (Global Stable)

Mi 10 Android 11 update also brings a number of new templates for vlogs along with a few optimizations. The update is seeding over the air with October 2020 security patch. If you waiting for the Android 11 update for a long time, then now you can update your device now via OTA or using recovery ROM manually. Here’s the download link.

To sideload the recovery ROM package (Update file), you need to head over to the system settings, then updates, then select the update package manually. Allow the prompts to install the build.

Once the installation process is completed, reboot your Xiaomi Mi 10, once done, you can start using your device running on Android 11 based MIUI 12. Till now the update is available only for the vanilla Mi 10, hopefully, Xiaomi will soon rollout the same update for the Mi 10 Pro in a few days. We’ll update the article, once it is available.


Update: Available for Mi 10 Pro (November 30)

It’s now almost a week since the Android 11 update release for Mi 10. And finally, the company starts rolling out the Android 11 update for Pilot Testers on November 30. It means soon the stable variant will be out for everyone. The update contains almost a similar update as the Mi 10 Android 11 update.

The Update is available with build number V12.2.1.0.RJAMIXM and it weighs nearly the same as Mi 10 update. As for now, only the participated users are getting the update. But it is not long when you will be getting the stable Android 11 on Mi 10 Pro. Now the update goes live in the Europe, wider rollout is expected in coming days.


Update: Available in India

The Android 11 update is now available in India for the vanilla variant – Mi 10. The update is weeding over-the-air in India with V12.2.2.0.RJBINXM build number and 2.8GB of download size.
