Xiaomi rolls out MIUI 12.5 Update for Mi 11X in India

Last month, Xiaomi announced Mi 11X series in India with MIUI 12 based Android 11 OS. Now the company rolls out first major update for the Mi 11X in the form of MIUI 12.5 update. We can expect the update will also be available for Mi 11X Pro in coming days. The latest update carries a number of new features, improvements, and bugs fixes. Xiaomi pushes the latest update on Mi 11X with V12.5.1.0.RKHINXM software version, the incremental patch weighs around 500MB of size in downloading. The best thing is you can also sideload it manually with recovery ROM, it measures around 3GB in downloading.

There are some users reportedly receiving the update on their device, a known tipster (@TechnoAnkit1) also confirmed the rollout by sharing a screenshot. The latest update knocks up the Mi 11X with May 2021 monthly security patch along with a number of new features.

Talking about the changes, then the latest MIUI 12.5 build on Mi 11X comes with improved gesture response, faster rendering, system enhancements, and more. Apart from that, the update brings changes to the Notes app, the app gets new tools for doodling and sketching, dynamic layouts, gesture shortcuts, and more. Xiaomi Cloud also gets location info. Mi 11X MIUI 12.5 Update

Mi 11X users in India will get the update in the coming days over-the-air. For the time being, it is available for limited users, if things are going well, it will be available for everyone. If youโ€™re in a haste then you can download the recovery ROM from the below link and upgrade your Mi 11x manually to Android 11. Hereโ€™s the download link.

You can sideload this package by booting your smartphone into stock recovery, then head over to apply an update from the SD card and select the downloaded package. Thatโ€™s it.

Once the installation process is completed, reboot your Mi 11X. Once done, you can start using your device running on MIUI 12.5.
