Xiaomi rolls out Android 12-based MIUI 13 update to Mi 11i

For the past few weeks, Xiaomi is continuously working on expanding the MIUI 13 to more phones. Xiaomi recently pushed its newest skin to the Xiaomi 11T, 11T Pro, Mi 11 Lite 4G, and Mi 11 Lite 5G. Now the company has started rolling out the Android 12 based MIUI 13 update to the Mi 11i. The smartphone was announced last year with MIUI 12, later it received MIUI 12.5 E update. Now its a time for the first major OS upgrade. Read along to know more about the Mi 11i MIUI 13 update.

Xiaomi is sowing the major upgrade on the Mi 11i with 13.0.1.0.SKKMIXM software version, measures around 3.3GB in size. As it is a big update, it requires a huge amount of data for downloading, I suggest you to connect your device to a WiFi network for faster downloading. As of now, the rollout is limited for the Global units, wider rollout should follow in the coming days. The new build tags along with the February 2022 monthly security patch. Android 12-centric MIUI 13 upgrade is packed with a slew of new features and changes.

Talking about the features and changes, then the new MIUI 13 update on Mi 11i is seeding with the features such as floating windows from the sidebar, optimized file storage system, RAM optimization engine, processor priority optimization, extended battery life of up to 10%, and more. As of now, it doesn’t have features like the new Super Wallpapers and the new widgets system, we can expect that it will be rolled out with an incremental OTA. If you’re using the Mi 11i smartphone, then you can now officially upgrade your smartphone to the new MIUI 13. Like all recently released MIUI 13 updates, this patch is also limited to users who opted pilot testing program.

If everything goes fine then the update will be available to everyone in a few days. If you’ve joined the pilot testing program, then you can head over to the System Updates from the Settings app and check the new updates. You can also update your phone manually using recovery ROM.
