Xiaomi rolls out Android 12 based MIUI 13 update for Mi 10 Lite

Earlier this month, Xiaomi kicked off the Android 12 based MIUI 13 update for the Mi Note 10 Lite. Now the company has started pushing the new version to the non-note model – the Mi 10 Lite. Yes, the MIUI 13 update goes live for Mi 10 Lite and packs a bunch of new features, improvements, and fixes. Here you can check everything about Mi 10 Lite MIUI 13 update.

The smartphone was launched back in May 2020 with Android 10 based MIUI 12 custom skin. Last year, Xiaomi released two big updates for the smartphone, the Android 11 update and MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition update. Now the device has started getting yet another major upgrade, the Android 12 update based on MIUI 13 custom skin.

Xiaomi plants the new software on Mi 10 Lite with 13.0.2.0.SJIMIXM software version. Like previously released major updates, this one also requires a huge chunk of data for downloading, you can connect your phone to a WiFi network for faster downloading. Some users have already received the OTA, it will be rolled out to everyone in the coming days. The update also brings a newer March 2022 security patch.

Before moving ahead, let’s take a look at the features coming with the new update. It comes with a slew of new features including an optimized file storage system, RAM optimization engine, processor priority optimization, extended battery life of up to 10%, sidebar, and more. As of now, it doesn’t have features like the new Super Wallpapers and the new widgets system, we can expect that it will be rolled out with an incremental OTA.
