Xiaomi Mi 10i gets Android 12 based MIUI 13 update in India

Xiaomi has finally released the much-awaited MIUI 13 update for its one of the best-selling mid-rangers of last year. Yes, I am talking about the Mi 10i. If you’re a proud Mi 10i owner, then you can upgrade your phone to Android 12 based MIUI 13. As it is a major OS update, it comes with a bunch of unique features, changes, and improvements. Xiaomi is seeding the new update in a staged manner, at the time of writing, the OTA is live in India, and will be available in other regions in the coming days. The new software hits the Mi 10i phones with 13.0.3.0.SJSINXM software version. Before moving ahead, just want to mention that, it is a second major OS upgrade for the Mi 10i. The phone was announced last year with Android 10 OS, later received, an Android 11 update. And it is time for the Android 12 build. Since it is a major update it weighs more than general security updates.

It requires more data for downloading compared to the security updates released on monthly basis, it weighs 3GB in size, and you can use both cellular data or WiFi to install the new software. The update has already hit many Mi 10i phones, opted Xiaomi’s pilot testing program, the wider rollout should follow in the coming days. Talking about the features, then MIUI 13 hits the Mi 10i with optimized file storage system, RAM optimization engine, processor priority optimization, extended battery life of up to 10%, sidebar, and more. The wait is finally over, you can now finally upgrade your Mi 10i to MIUI 13, you can head over to the Settings > About Phone > Software Version > check for the new updates, if you see the newer version, tap on download.
