In the month of July, Xiaomi kicked off the Android 11 update for the Redmi Note 8 in select regions (Global and Russia). Since then Note 8 users are waiting for the major OS upgrade in India. Today, a few users shared screenshots of receiving Android 11 update in India on social media, for the time being, it is in a rolling phase. The latest update is seeding with a bunch of new features and improvements. Read along to know more about Redmi Note 8 Android 11 update in India.

Xiaomi plants the major OS upgrade’s OTA with V12.0.1.0.RCOINXM version number. As it is a major OS upgrade, it requires a huge amount of data for sideloading, the build weighs around 2.2GB of size for downloading. I suggest you connect your device to a Wi-Fi network for uninterrupted installation. In case you’ve opted for Xiaomi’s pilot testing program, then you’ll get access to the update very soon, while other users need to wait for a few more days (or weeks in the worst-case scenario).
