Xiaomi has been testing MIUI 12 based Android 11 build on the Poco X2, since October 2020. Now the company has started pushing the stable Android 11 update for Poco X2. Yes, it’s the first major OS update for the Poco X2. The latest build brings a number of changes to the smartphone, newer security patch, along with improvements to the system. MIUI 12 based Android 11 update is sowing with V18.104.22.168.RGHINXM build number and measures approx. 2.4GB of size to download. As it is a major update, it requires a chunk of data for downloading. There are some users reportedly receiving the latest build on their smartphone, below we’ve attached a screenshot, shared by TechnoAnkit1. As of now, Xiaomi has not confirmed about the Android 11 roll out.
In terms of changes, the latest build on Poco X2 come with features like Chat Bubble, new Power Menu, Internal Audio recording, Smart Reply, interactive Media controls, Improved Security, and a few more features. The latest build goes live for Poco X2 in India for select users, hopefully, it will soon be available to other users as well. If you’re using Poco X2 and want to update your smartphone to Android 11, before arriving the OTA, then you can download the recovery ROM from below link and manually update your device to the latest software. You can sideload this package by booting your smartphone into stock recovery, then head over to apply update from SD card and select the downloaded package. That’s it.
Once the installation process is completed, reboot your Poco X2, once done, you can start using your device running on Android 11 based MIUI 12.
