Xiaomi announces Android 14 developer preview for Xiaomi 12T, 13, and 13 Pro

It is that time of the year when smartphone manufacturers start testing the next version of Android starting with their flagship devices. After OnePlus and Nothing, Xiaomi launches the Android 14 developer preview program for three high-end phones, the list includes the Xiaomi 12T, Xiaomi 13, and Xiaomi 13 Pro. If you own any of these phones, you can join the developer preview program to test the new OS.

Xiaomi officially shares the developer preview builds on its website and manually sideloads it on your smartphone. You can freely upgrade your newest Xiaomi Number series smartphone to the developer preview build and try out the new features. I didn’t recommend installing the developer preview builds on the daily driver aka the primary smartphone. But if you are in haste then you can upgrade your device, you may encounter some bugs.

Talking about the features, then Android 14 comes with smart scaling, better battery life, restrict access for photos and videos, satellite connectivity, app cloning, predictive back gestures, security enhancements, and much more. Apart from the features, the upgrade brings a newer security patch and MIUI-centric features as well.

Xiaomi 12T, Xiaomi 13, and Xiaomi 13 Pro owners can sideload the Android 14 developer preview build with the help of the fastboot method. Yes, you need to flash the Android 14 build on your device using the Mi flash tool, but before that, you need to download the preview builds. Here are the download links of Android 14 developer preview for Xiaomi 12T, 13, and 13 Pro.

Make sure to take a backup before installing the developer beta on your smartphone.
