Xiaomi 13T Pro Gets Android 15 Stable Update

Early this month, Xiaomi kick-started its Android 15 journey with the stable update going live for the flagship, Xiaomi 14. Today, the company has expanded the stable Android 15 to another model, Xiaomi 13T Pro.

In case you’re waiting for the HyperOS 2.0, then you need to wait a little longer, as, the Android 15 stable update is based on HyperOS 1.1. At the time of writing, the update goes live for Global and Europe models. If you reside in the EU, you will receive the new update with OS1.1.5.0.VMLEUXM version. While global units get the update with OS1.1.4.0.VMLMIXM build number.

The incremental upgrade weighs only 155MB in size, you can quickly update your Xiaomi 13T Pro to stable Android 15. Now moving to the changes coming with today’s release, the update brings improvements to the Home Screen, icons, app drawer, and recent menu. Apart from that, the update brings the September 2024 monthly security patch.

Here’s the complete list of changes coming with the update.

  • System
    • Updated the security patch to September 2024. Increased system security.
  • Home Screen
    • Optimization: Folder icons weren’t always fully displayed
    • Optimization: An issue when a lot of space in the upper part of the screen was left blank in the Home screen layout
    • Optimization: App drawer layout
    • Fix: Home screen stopped working in some cases
  • Recent
    • Fix: App card started shaking when card order was rearranged
  • Improvements and Optimizations
    • Fix: Screenshots turned out black for some apps

Xiaomi usually rolls out these updates in a staged manner, a broader rollout should follow in the coming days. Some users have already received the update, if you haven’t received or missed the OTA notification, you can navigate to Settings > tap on MIUI banner > Check for Updates > Update Device.

Before upgrading your tablet, make sure to back up important data and charge it to at least 50%.
