As we step into the new year, Android 14 update for Xiaomi phones finally kicks off outside of China. The Xiaomi 13T Pro is now receiving the Android 14-based HyperOS update. Yes, MIUI is now being replaced by HyperOS, the new custom OS from Xiaomi.
Xiaomi may have rebranded its custom skin, but don’t expect any major changes to the MIUI feel. Most things remain same as MIUI. Yes, there are still some noticeable changes.
The HyperOS update for Xiaomi 13T Pro is rolling out in Europe with build number 22.214.171.124.UMLEUXM. And as you already know it is based on Android 14. Since it is a major update and also shift from MIUI, the update is quite big is size weighing 5.8GB. Yes, its the size of OTA update which is huge.
Talking about new features, the update carry a long list of changes along with the December 2023 Android security patch. While performance improvements and system optimizations are often highlighted in every major update, their actual impact can only be assessed through testing. So don’t expect of a major performance boost in the new HyperOS update.
As mentioned earlier, the Android 14 update with HyperOS for Xiaomi 13T Pro is rolling out in Europe. Just like other updates, it is also a staged rollout meaning it will be available in batches. So some users might have to wait longer for the update to arrive, while some users may have already received the update.
