Windows 11 KB5010414 update brings 1000+ Android apps along with updated system apps

With Windows 11, Microsoft is bringing the best out of everything for their new operating system. Since its official release back in October 2021, we have seen a lot of major improvements, as well as new features that one would think, wouldnโ€™t ever make it to the Windows environment. We saw the ability to install Android apps via the Amazon Store last year which could be done via the Insider builds of Windows 11. Well, the cat has been let out of the bag and now the ability to install Android apps is rolling out to everyone. The new update is a feature update to Windows 11 and is known as the KB5010414 update.

Microsoft has just released a new update that will be bringing in a lot of new things to the table. The update weighs around 250MB. We are talking about apps getting a makeover, new ease of access features, and security improvements as always. The Amazon App Store for Windows 11 has finally been populated with over 1000 apps and games from a meager handful of apps during its release. New Mute/ Unmute and Share Buttons

With many offices having meetings at home over video calls, it is always better to have some important features baked right into the OS. Now, when you have a video call via Microsoft Teams, a new button will appear on the Taskbar. Using this button you will be able to easily mute or unmute yourself with one simple click.

You will also be able to share any open Window from your Windows 11 PC easily. All you need to do is simply place your mouse pointer over an open app on your Taskbar. From the popup, you will see a Share this Window option. Simply selecting it will share the Window your Microsoft Teams meeting.

Weather Information on the Taskbar

Windows 11 introduced Widgets a fly-out pane that displays news and other current information from various interests that you choose. Now, with the new update, you will be able to add a weather widget that will sit on the Taskbar. Clicking on the Weather Widget will also open the Widgets Panel right away.

Revamped Notepad app and Dark Mode

The Notepad is one of the most basic and useful apps in any Windows OS. With Windows 11, Microsoft has finally revamped the Notepad app after so many years. The app now feels modern with a slew of new features that have been added. Features such as the inclusion of colorful emojis, multi-level undo, and probably the most requested feature of all, Dark Mode. yes, Dark Mode can now be enabled for the Notepad app within the appโ€™s setting. Media Player replaces Groove Music

Groove Music made its debut with Windows 10 as the default Windows media player. While it was quite an average music app, it is finally being replaced by an all-new Media Player. The app now performs better and faster. All of your media files will now automatically show up in Media Player. Plus, you can guide the app to search for files in a specific location that has all of your media files. Date and Time on Multiple Monitors

Microsoft has finally addressed the elephant in the room. Remember when you would connect two or more monitors to your setup and all you would be able to see was the Taskbar? Well, they have now finally added the date and time to be displayed on all the monitors that are connected to your PC. Microsoft is listening to feedback and suggestions that users have.
