Latest Windows 11 Beta Further Enhances User Experience

Microsoft has just released a new Windows 11 insider preview update for beta testers with the 22635.3785 version number. It further enhances the user experience with features like easily sharing content to Android devices using Windows Share, a jump list for pinned apps in the Start Menu, a better Windows Spotlight experience, and more.

One of the biggest changes coming with the newest beta is the ability to easily share content to an Android device from a Windows share window. Keep in mind that your phone is paired with your PC through the Link to Windows app and Phone Link.

Another notable change is for the pinned apps in the Start Menu. Righ-clicking any pinned app will show you a jump list, it works with supported apps like Microsoft PowerPoint. The update also brings enhancements to the Windows Spotlight feature.

Apart from these features, the Snipping Tool gets automatic save capability for the screen recording feature, all saved videos will be stored in the Screen Recording folder inside the Videos folder.

Microsoft also enhances the payment experience on the Microsoft Store, bringing quick and easy purchases in the Store using Microsoft Wallet.

Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 22635.3785 – Fixes Gradually Rolling Out

Note: Windows Insiders in the Beta Channel who want to be the first to get features gradually rolled out to you*, you can turn ON the toggle to get the latest updates as they are available via Settings > Windows Update.

  • Taskbar & System Tray
    • Fixed an issue causing the taskbar to not appear for a small number of Insiders in the last couple flights.
  • File Explorer
    • Fixed an issue causing screen readers to not announce when you were opening or navigating items in the breadcrumb flyouts of the open or save dialog.
    • Fixed an issue causing screen readers to not announce anything when opening or navigating items in the column header flyout in File Explorer.
  • Start Menu
    • Fixed the issue from the last flight where if you clicked your profile icon on the Start menu and chose “Change account settings”, it would not open account settings
  • Other Fixes (Available to Everyone in Beta)
    • This update addresses an issue that might stop your system from resuming from hibernate. This occurs after you turn on BitLocker.
    • This update addresses an issue that affects lsass.exe. It leaks memory. This occurs during a Local Security Authority (Domain Policy) Remote Protocol (LSARPC) call.
    • This update addresses an issue that affects lsass.exe. It stops responding. This occurs after you install the April 2024 security updates on Windows servers.

If you’ve joined the Insider Preview Program and running on Windows 11, then you’ll receive the preview build. You can simply head over to Settings > Windows Update > click on Check for Updates. You can simply download the update on your PC.
