Windows 11 22000.978 (KB5017328) fixes Bluetooth audio headset issue and more

It’s the second Tuesday of the month and Microsoft released the security update for Windows 11. This month’s release is tagged with Windows 11 22000.978 version number. As it is a security release, it is available for everyone. The new build brings a couple of fixes to Windows 11 and improves the overall experience of the system. Microsoft is pushing the new Windows 11 upgrade with 22000.978 (KB5017328) software version number. Just like the previous releases, it is a small upgrade weighing only 412MB in size on ARM64-based systems and 302MB on x64-based systems. And you can install it manually if you want, head over to this page to download the incremental update.

Moving to the changes, then the new update addresses the USB printers issue, you can reboot your device to get the printer working back, the update also fixes the Bluetooth audio headset issue, and the Microsoft Edge IE dialog box issue. In the release video, Microsoft confirms that Windows 11 SE users can now download apps from the Microsoft store without app trust issues. Apart from the afore-listed fixes, the update also brings the update security patch.

This security update includes improvements that were a part of update KB5016691 (released August 25, 2022) and also addresses the following issues:

  • Addresses a known issue that affects Microsoft accounts (MSA). The web dialog that you use to sign in or sign out might not appear. This issue occurs on devices that have installed KB5016691.

Now if your computer is running on the Windows 11 OS, then you will receive this update soon, if you’re facing any of the above-listed issues update to this version. It is already available for many users, this build is rolling over the air, you can simply open the Settings app, then head over to the Windows Update, click on Check for Updates in case it is not showing new updates to you, once you see the update, click on download and install. That’s it.
