SteamOS 3.2 goes live with new features

A new valuable SteamOS 3.2 update goes live for Steam Deck. Valve pushed the update starting May 27th.

Steam Deck users can now set the Refresh Rate to 40Hz from the default 60Hz. The old options are 60Hz, 30Hz and 15Hz. This can be set per game.

Refresh Rate

The new update comes with OS-controlled fan curve than the previous BIOS controlled. So it understands the usage better and keeps the fan noise less.

Quite Fan

Part of Steam client update but now works on Steam Deck. Users can host or join game sessions. It works on supported games.
