Sony announces PlayStation Portal Remote Player for PlayStation 5

With all the limelight on the Gamescom 2023 event, Sony has revealed a bunch of new devices that will be released later this year.

The PlayStation Portal is a brand-new device that will let you remotely play PS5 games on a dedicated Sony PlayStation device.

You can easily play games that have been installed on your PS5 on the PlayStation Portal as long as both devices are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.

The only downside of this device is that you will not be able to play games from Sony’s PlayStation Plus Premium cloud gaming service.

On the front, the PlayStation Portal Remote Player features an 8-inch LCD screen with 1080p support at 60Hz. 

The device also comes with a 3.5mm audio port so you can connect your headphones for immersive audio experience.

The Portal boasts two distinct controllers on either side, the design remains similar to the DualSense controllers.

The new PlayStation Portal Remote Player costs $199.99 | €219.99 | £199.99 | ¥29,980.
