Apple released iOS 16.1 as the first major update after iOS 16 in the second half of last month i.e. October.

And about two weeks later, Apple releases iOS 16.1.1, an incremental update for eligible iPhones.

The initial release of iOS 16 was a buggy update and it was disappointing to see bugs everywhere. Luckily iOS 16.1 fixed most of the known bugs.

iOS 16.1.1 is an incremental update that comes with bug fixes and security improvements.

Since this is not a major update, there should be no new bugs. The iOS 16.1.1 update is useful because of the security update.

But if you are on iOS 16.2 beta, you will not receive the update. Also if you are on iOS 15 and loving it, then you can wait for iOS 16.2 update.
