Should you update your iPhone to iOS 17.1.1?

This week, Apple released a new minor update, iOS 17.1.1 for eligible iPhones.

Apple releases small updates like this minor update to fix small issues and security updates in case there are any security flaws.

iOS 17.1.1 is a minor update with only bug fixes and not security related fixes. So should you update your iPhone to iOS 17.1.1?

iOS 17.1.1 fixes Apple Pay and other NFC features in iPhone 15 models which used to stop working after using wireless charging in some cars.

So if you are facing this issue, you must update your iPhone to iOS 17.1.1 to get rid of this issue.

There aren’t any major bug fixes or improvements. So if you are not upgrading to iOS 17 for some reason, you can skip iOS 17.1.1 too.

If you are already on iOS 17 you can update to iOS 17.1.1 without any worry as it is not much different than iOS 17.

If you ask me, I updated to iOS 17.1.1 soon after its release just because I want to keep my iPhone to the latest version.
