Apple has released a new incremental update for iPhone, a week after the iOS 17.5 update.
This maybe a small incremental update, but it’s an important update for iPhone and iPad users.

Why? This is because iOS 17.5 introduced a serious bug, which caused deleted photos to reappear in the Photos library.

Many users reported that they are seeing many photos deleted years ago are reappearing marked as recently uploaded to iCloud.

This is a major privacy issue that iOS 17.5.1 has addressed. Apple mentioned that this is a database corruption issue.

Those who have already upgraded to iOS 17.5 update last week should upgrade to iOS 17.5.1.
It’s not an important update for you, if your device is running on any previous iOS version.
It’s always good to wait for a few days before installing a major update like iOS 17.5. We don’t know how these bugs can affect our data or device.
