The camera has always been one of the standout features of Google Pixel phones, and it's expected that the upcoming Pixel 8 will continue this trend.
We have already seen several leaks and rumors regarding the Pixel 8 series, including renders of the device.

Camera specs of both Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro have been leaked. And according to leaks the camera upgrade is going to be big.

ISOCELL GN1 sensor is replaced by the ISOCELL GN2 sensor on Pixel 8 series. It is a large sensor and captures 35% more light in low light photos.

The sensor also supports 8K/30fps video recording, but this doesn’t necessarily mean that Pixel 8 Pro will come with 8K support.

The ultrawide camera on Pixel 8 Pro also getting upgrade. It is replaced by 64MP Sony IMX787. On Pixel 7 Pro it is 12MP Sony IMX386.

Why it is a big thing? Because Google doesn’t upgrade camera hardware too frequently. The tech giant mostly relies on software processing.
