If leaked launch event date is assumed to be correct, from now less than one month left for the upcoming iPhone 15 series.
We all know that Apple is switching from Lightning cable to Type-C and we also know the reason behind this switch, the EU rules.
As per the ChargerLab report, some iPhone 15 models may come with Thunderbolt transfer speed.
ChargerLab claims that the recently leaked Type C render of the iPhone 15 series shows the Retimer chip which is used in Thunderbolt/USB 4 devices.
The Thunderbolt transfer speed can go up to 40Gbps while the normal Type-C port speed limited to 480Mbps.
It is believed that iPhone 15 Pro models could support the thunderbolt transfer speed, whereas iPhone 15 models could stick to standard speed.
This could be a good move from Apple as there are many works that require high transfer speed.
