WWDC is less than two weeks from now. Apple will announce major software updates and some hardware at the event.
iOS 17 will also be announced at the WWDC event. And as per the rumours, iOS 17 will include some major changes like app sideloading.
In a new report from Bloomberg, Mark Gurman shared that Apple is bringing a new feature with iOS 17 that will turn iPhone into a smart display.
This means that whenever your iPhone is not being used, its display will show you useful information using the new feature.
When an iPhone is locked and placed horizontally, the iPhone will display events on calender, Weather, Time and Notifications in smart home display style.
For Smart Display on iPhone, Apple will be using Widgets for lockscreen to show information similar to any other smart home display.
This means that iPads may not get the feature as soon as iPhones as iPads don’t support widgets. But Apple is working on this feature for iPad as well.
Yes, this feature on iPads will make a better choice as we get a larger display with more information on it.
