How to use Depth Effect on iPhone

iOS 16 revamped the iPhone's lock screen by introducing depth effect and other personalization features.

Depth Effect splits the background into multiple layers, a small portion of the foreground subject will appear on the front of clock that makes the lock screen more appealing.

If you want to make your iPhone's lock screen look more better, then here's how you can use depth effect feature.

First things first, tap and hold for a second on the lock screen. Swipe right and tap + icon, then select Photos and choose any photo.

Now pinch in or out to adjust the subject. If the photo is eligible for depth effect, it will automatically get activated or you can also manually activate it by tapping three dots icon.

You can change the background colors by swiping right, change clock style by tapping on it, or calendar widget. You can tap add button at top to apply it.

Depth Effect also works with portraits and other photos taken using iPhone's camera.
