Earlier this year, Apple enabled a new feature which allows users to store driver's license ID to the Apple Wallet. Arizona is the first US state to allow this feature.

Maryland now also support adding license or state ID in Apple Wallet. Apple will be adding support for more states soon. Now let's see how you to set it up.

The feature is available on: iPhone 8 and newer (with latest iOS) Apple Watch series 4 and newer (with latest watchOS).

- Turn on Face ID or Touch ID - Apple ID with two factor authentication required - License or State ID required - Set device region to the US

First things first, open the Apple Wallet app, then tap + icon, then tap Driver's License or State ID. Select State.

Now you can scan your Driver's License from your iPhone, you can tap on Add to iPhone and Apple Watch or iPhone only as per your needs.

Scan your Driver's License ID on the front first, put your ID on a well-lit surface with a dark background.

Now flip your Driver's License ID or card to the back and scan the back side of ID.

Now it will ask you to take a picture of yourself which will be submitted to State MVD or agency available in your region.

To submit the details to MVD or agency available in your state, tap Continue with Face ID and verify yourself.

You can now easily present the Driver's License ID at select security checkpoints from iPhone or Apple Watch.
