Android continues to improve every year. But there are some features removed in past that we wish to get back in our phones.

One of such feature is the Widget support in Lock Screen. It was removed many years back.
According to Mishaal Rahman's findings via Android Authority, this feature could be making a comeback soon.
As usual, Mishaal took the initiative to uncover hidden items in the Android 14 QPR2 Beta.
The Android 14 QPR2 Beta has something interesting. It includes widgets that means Google is working on bringing back this feature.

Widgets from Lock screen were removed in Android 5.0. And after many years, Google might bring back Widgets again.

Apple introduced lock screen widget support with iOS 16. So Google might also act on it because its a useful feature.

However its not clear whether the feature will be limited to certain devices or every Android 15 phone.

Also, it’s not clear whether all apps or only a few select will allow widgets on Lock Screen.
