watchOS 8.3 RC goes live for public beta testers

Apple originally started testing the watchOS 8.3 beta in October. Later, the company pushed a couple of beta patches with fixes and enhancements. Last week, Apple released the fourth beta build of watchOS 8.3. Today, the release candidate goes live for both developers and public beta testers. Apple sows the release candidate with 19S55 build number on the Apple Watch. For those, who are not familiar with the release candidate. RC aka Release Candidate is the new naming for Apple’s Golden Master builds. These are the final update rolling first to the developers for final testing. Moving to the changes and features, then the watchOS 8.3 RC release notes suggests support for App Privacy Report, access to Apple Music Voice Plan, and a fix for notification interruption issue in Mindfulness sessions. In case you’re a registered developer or a beta tester, then you can follow the below-listed steps to download watchOS 8 RC on your Apple Watch. Before heading over to the steps, make sure that your iPhone or iPad is running on the latest iOS 15.2 RC and iPadOS 15.2 RC.

  1. At first, open the Apple Watch app on your iPhone.
  2. Tap on My Watch.
  3. Then click on General > Software Update > Download and Install.
  4. Enter the password for confirmation.
  5. Tap on Agree to the terms and conditions.
  6. Once done, tap on install.

Once you tap the install button, it will download and install the newest update on your Apple Watch. Once the installation process is completed, the watch will automatically reboot to the latest watchOS 8.3 release candidate. Now you can also enjoy its latest feature before the stable release.
