watchOS 7 GM goes live for Apple Watch, It’s Free Download Now

Apple has started seeding the watchOS 7 Golden Master for the Apple Watch. watchOS 7 GM is available to the developers and beta testers for free. If you’re in a haste then you can now update your Apple Watch to the watchOS 7 GM. Here’s everything you need to know about the latest Golden Master build of the watchOS 7.

The GM build is not only available for the Apple Watch, but it is also available for the iPhone (as iOS 14 GM), iPad, Apple TV, and Xcode. watchOS 7 GM is available for all watchOS 7 supported devices. This is the final build, will be available to everyone as a final (aka stable) build.

watchOS 7 GM is freely available for Apple Watch Series 5, Series 4, and Series 3 to download. Talking about the features, then the update bring features like Blood Oxygen Level detection, Chronograph Pro Face, Face Sharing, Cycling Directions, Wind Down mode, Handwashing, Language Translation, and more.

The newest watchOS 7 Golden Master is seeding with a 18R382 build number, which weighs approx. 200MB of download size. Here’s how to download and install watchOS 7 GM on Apple Watch.

How to Install watchOS 7 GM on Apple Watch

In case you’re a developer or a beta tester, then you can follow the below-listed steps to Download watchOS 7 GM for your Apple Watch. But if you are not, then you need to download the configuration file from Apple’s Developer website and update your watch to the latest available build.

Before heading over to the steps, make sure that your iPhone or iPad is running on the latest iOS 14 and iPadOS 14. Also, after updating to the watchOS 7 Golden Master, there’s no way to go back to the watchOS 6.

Now let’s dive right into the steps.

  1. At first, open the Apple Watch app on your iPhone.
  2. Tap on My Watch.
  3. Then click on General > Software Update > Download and Install.
  4. Enter the password for confirmation.
  5. Tap on Agree to the terms and conditions.
  6. Once done, tap on install.

Prerequisites:

  • Charge your Apple Watch to at least 50% and connected to the charger.
  • Connect your iPhone to a WiFi for internet connection.
  • Make sure that your iPhone is running on iOS 14.

After you hit Install, it will download and install the update on your Apple Watch. Once the installation process completed, the watch will automatically reboot to the latest watchOS 7 Golden Master final. Now you can also enjoy its latest feature before the stable release.
