watchOS 7.4 Beta 4 update is live for the developers (Download Now)

Since the first week of February, Apple has been testing the upcoming watchOS 7.4 beta on the Apple Watch. Last week, the company rolled out watchOS 7.4 Beta 3 to the watch with iPhone Mask unlock feature support. Now Apple seeds the fourth beta build of watchOS 7.4 update. The latest update brings a number of improvements to the Apple Watch along with some new functionalities. Here you can check everything about watchOS 7.4 Beta 4 Update.

The latest patch of watchOS is sowing with 18T5183b build number and weighs approx. 150MB of size for downloading. As always, developers can freely sideload the beta patch on their Apple Watch for testing. The update is limited to the users opted Apple Watch Series 3 or newer.

Talking of the changes, then Apple Watch users can now use the features such as unlocking iPhone with Apple Watch while wearing a Mask. The newer build also bags support of AirPlay 2 for Apple Fitness+. Other than that, the watchOS 7.4 beta 4 updates may also come with improvements and bug fixes.

We can expect that Apple will release the watchOS 7.4 public updates very soon along with iOS 14.5. Both the watchOS 7.4 and iOS 14.5 are coming with a flurry of new features.

Now lets take a look at the steps to update Apple Watch to the newer watchOS 7.4 Beta 4.

Download watchOS 7.4 Beta 4 Profile

Before sideloading the watchOS 7.4 beta 4 to your Apple Watch, make sure to sideload the iOS 14.5 or iPadOS 14.5 Beta 4 on your iPhone or iPad.

  1. At first, you need to login to Apple Developer Program website.
  2. Then, head over to the downloads.
  3. Tap on watchOS 7.4 beta 4 available under featured downloads. Then tap on the download button.
  4. Now install watchOS 7.4 beta 4 profile on your iPhone, then authorize the profile by going to Settings > General > Profiles.
  5. Now restart your iPhone.

Here are some prerequisites, that you can check before installing it on your Apple Watch.

Prerequisites:

  • Make sure that your Apple Watch is charged to at least 50% and connected to the charger.
  • Make sure that your iPhone is connected to Wi-Fi.
  • Make sure that your iPhone is running on iOS 14.5.

After downloading the watchOS 7.4 beta 4 profile, you can head over to the Settings app on the Watch and then tap on Software Update. You can also use your iPhone to update the Apple Watch to the new update, you can open Apple Watch Companion app on iPhone and sideload the latest build on your watch.
