Vivo upgraded a list of affordable, mid-range, and premium segment phones in the last six months to its Funtouch OS 12 based Android 12 update. Although, the update is still under beta testing for some Vivo phones. And now the update goes live for the Vivo Y30 smartphone through grayscale testing. Vivo Y30 was announced back in 2020 with Android 10, now the device is all set to pick up the Funtouch OS 12 based Android 12 update. As per the information, the upgrade is under beta testing and available to grayscale testers only, it is available for select users only. Vivo has officially confirmed the update in replying to the Deepak Kumar (@AnuragK36170046).
Here’s the reply from the Funtouch OS twitter handle to a user who asked for Android 12 update on Vivo Y30.
“Hi, thank you for contacting us. We are excited to let you know that the Android 12 beta update for the vivo Y30 is already released in handset IMEI batches to make it bug-free. So, kindly wait for some time you will get the notification on your handset automatically. Thanks.”
Talking about the features, then Vivo is pushing the new Funtouch OS 12 update with features like new widgets, nano music player, stickers, small windows, visual design with rounder corners across the system, and other essential features available on Funtouch OS 12 custom skin. Apart from that, you can also expect updated monthly security patch and system-wide improvements. The changelog of the new update is not available to us yet. As I said earlier, the upgrade is rolling out to select Vivo Y30 phones in a staged manner, currently available for testers only. If you own the Vivo Y30, then make sure that your smartphone is running on the latest software update. As the update is in the testing phase yet, you may encounter some bugs in this build, we don’t recommend updating your primary phone to these early builds of Funtouch OS 12.
