Vivo Y19 gets Android 12 Beta Update

Vivo has released Android 12 for many of its eligible phones so far. And as we enter the second half of April, another Vivo phone has started receiving the Android 12 beta update. It seems it is based on the Funtouch OS 12. Vivo Y19 which was scheduled to get the update at the end of April is now receiving Android 12 beta in the promised month. Read on to know more about the Android 12 beta for Vivo Y19.

Vivo Y19 is a three year old phone that was released in 2019 with Android 9 based Funtouch OS 9. It further received two major updates Android 10 and Android 11. Currently, Android 11 is the latest update in the stable channel for the device. Fortunately, the device is eligible for the Android 12 update which can be experienced now in the beta channel.

A Twitter user @_archrstn has already received the update according to the screenshot he shared on Twitter. Before he received the update he was running the PD1934F_EX_A_6.11.10 version on his phone. The Android 12 beta for Vivo Y19 comes with build number 8.9.15 in the Philippines. As it is a major update it weighs 3.55GB.

The update comes with a new and improved UI along with many new features. You can expect improved system security, extra dim mode, safety and emergency feature, and more. As of now, we don’t have the complete changelog but we will share it with you once it is available to us.

If you are a Vivo Y19 user in the Philippines and opted for the beta program then you will get the update on your phone. The Vivo Y19 Android 12 Beta OTA update is rolling out in batches which means the timing for update arrival for users can be different and it can take a few days to reach all users. However, you can manually check for updates to track if it is available for your phone or not.

It is a beta update which means you have to deal with some minor or even a few major bugs. We will share with you once the Android 12 stable update is available for Vivo Y19.

Before updating your Vivo Y19 to Android 12 beta make sure to take a full backup of your phone and charge it to at least 50%.
