Vivo X70 Pro gets Android 13 update through beta program

Android 13 is currently the latest major update for Android phones. All major OEMs are trying to provide update to their eligible devices. Vivo has also released updates for some of its top devices. Vivo X70 Pro is now also getting Android 13 but for now via Funtouch OS 13 beta. Here’s everything you need to know about the update.

When it comes to updates, Vivo needs to do some work. Many of its devices get updates very late. And many times the update includes a bunch of bugs. This downgrades the user experience and many users avoid updating their phones. Although flagship phones usually get almost bug free updates which is also expected in the case of Vivo X70 Pro.

The Android 13 beta for Vivo X70 Pro is available with build number PD2135F_EX_A_38.12.2. As per some screenshots shared by different users, here’s a screenshot shared by a Twitter user (@Jitendr43169082). The update weighs more than 5.5GB. It’s quite a big update so make sure to use WiFi for downloading the update.

The Android 13 based Functouch OS 13 beta update brings a bunch of new features to Vivo X70 Pro. It may not be a big update like Android 12 but it comes with many useful features. Some of the new features include new Color Palettes for the material you design, Task Manager in the Notification center, hiding photos and videos in Albums, phone cooling, and various security improvements.

As mentioned earlier it is a beta update and is available to users who opt for the beta program. Since it is a beta update it comes with some major bugs such as the stock Camera not working as expected, lags, and also the device freeze multiple times. Well, the bugs can be different on different units so it is important to know existing bugs before applying for the beta.

As per previous updates, the stable Android 13 for Vivo X70 Pro could release within a month. So if you don’t want to deal with bugs, you can wait for the stable update. We will share the news once the update is available. You can also apply for the trial version aka beta from Settings. Before updating your phone, make sure to backup the device and charge it to at least 50%.
