Two months ago, Vivo officially released the Android 12 update for its mid-range V-series phone – Vivo V20 (2021). Now the company has started rolling out the Android 12 based Funtouch OS 12 update for Vivo V21e and V21e 5G. Both phones were launched last year with Android 11, now it’s time for the first major OS upgrade. Yes, I am talking about the Android 12 update, read along to know more about the Vivo V21e Android 12 update.
As of now, the update is available to select Vivo V21e 5G users, seeding with the PD2102BF_EX_A_11.0.9.4.W40.V000L1 software version. It is a big update that weighs approx. 3.67GB. As it requires a huge amount of data, I suggest you connect your phone to a WiFi network for faster downloading. Talking about the 4G variant, then at the moment, the update is available in Pakistan, @Nazeerkhan323 confirmed the rollout on Twitter.
Some users have already received the update, wider rollout should follow in the coming days. A Twitter user (@DibyeswarS) shared a screenshot of the changelog coming with the new update in India on Vivo V21e 5G. Before moving ahead, the Funtouch OS 12 brings new widgets, nano music player, stickers, small windows, visual design with rounder corners across the system, and more to the Vivo V21e duo. If you’re using the Vivo V21e and V21e 5G, then you can check the new updates from the Settings and then update to the new version. Usually, Vivo rolls out big updates in a staged manner, so the process might take a while. As this is the first release of Funtouch OS 12, you may face some issues in this build, expect a more stable build in a month or two.
