Vivo V19 and Vivo X50 are scheduled to receive Funtouch OS 11 Update this month

Back in September 2020, Vivo unveiled its Funtouch OS 11 skin which is based on Android 11. The company hasnโ€™t shared much details about the roll out timeline. Although, later, Vivo announced a newer Origin OS skin for its mainland China, which will be available for select phones in China.

Now the company has shared a detailed roadmap of Funtouch OS 11 for India. And according to the latest roadmap, Vivo is set to release the update for a list of Vivo smartphones. This month, two phones will receive the latest Android 11 based Funtouch OS 11 update. Obviously, the update bags a slew of useful features, improvements, and improved security.

Recently, the company released the Android 11 update for the Vivo V20 Pro. Now itโ€™s a time to get access of the latest skin to other phones as well. According to Vivo, the Funtouch OS 11 beta access will be available for Vivo V19 and Vivo X50 by the end of January 2021. There are some possibilities, that the beta update will be available in the second or third week of this month.

As, I mentioned earlier, the update will bring a slew of new features to both Vivo V19 and Vivo X50. In terms of details, the update could come with a number of visual changes, customizable AOD, Multi-turbo mode 4.0, rounded icons, and a few other changes as well. Other than that, the update will bring the newer security patch and improvements to the system.

List of Vivo phones to get Funtouch OS 11 based Android 11 Update in January 2021:

  • Vivo V19
  • Vivo X50

As I mentioned earlier, the beta access will be available by the end of this month. If you want to get access to the newest Funtouch OS 11 skin, then make sure to be updated your device on the latest available software version. If your device is running on the latest version, then you can apply to the beta program.

The beta trail information will be available in the system updates section, you can check it by manually heading over to Settings > System Update. Once registered successfully, you’ll receive the update via special OTA.

Before updating your smartphone to the Funtouch OS 11 based Android 11 beta, make sure to take a backup of needed data and also make sure that your smartphone is charged to at least 30%.
