In December 2019, Vivo announced its newest custom skin, dubbed as Funtouch OS 10. The company shared the update roadmap, which shows that the new custom skin will be available from February 2020. But due to the coronavirus outbreak, all the updates were delayed. Last week, the company has shared yet another Funtouch OS 10 update roadmap with new dates. According to the new roadmap, the company starts testing Android 10 on Vivo Nex 3, Nex 3 5G, X27, and X27 Pro from 14th March. But today, news came out that Funtouch OS 10 is now available to download on Vivo X27, X27 Pro, Nex 3 (5G) [for Beta users] in China.
If you’re using Vivo X27, X27 Pro, Nex 3, or Nex 3 5G, then you can update your smartphone to Funtouch OS 10 based Android 10 by joining the public beta program. The company is pushing the update in batches, in the first batch, there are 5,000 slots, which means 5,000 users can join the public beta program. A form has shared by the company in which users can enter their details, once done, the company filters out the list and select 5,000 random users who will get the update via OTA (over-the-air). As this is a beta version, it may have some bugs.
Talking about the features then the Funtouch OS 10 comes with more minimal UI, brighter color elements, more rounded & original icons, live dynamic wallpapers, and a lot more. Not only this, but It also inherits all the basic features which are available in Android 10. The OTA is weighing between 3.70GB to 3.80GB in size. The update carries software version number PD1923_A_1.13.10 for Nex 3 and PD1924_A_1.13.10 for Nex 3 5G. It also brings the latest security patch alongside a bunch of new features. You can join the beta program by filling the details in the form shared by the company.
Before downloading the update on Vivo X27 & X27 Pro, make sure to keep this in mind, that your X27 is running on the latest software version or on this version (1.12.11, 1.13.2, 1.13.4, 1.14.0, 1.15.0), while the X27 Pro have this version (1.13.5, 1.14.1, 1.14.2).
