Vivo starts recruiting Funtouch OS 10 (Android 10) Update on Vivo Nex & S5

In December 2019, Vivo announced its newest custom skin, dubbed as Funtouch OS 10. But the company could not deliver the update on time due to an outbreak of Coronavirus. Now the company has started testing the beta versions. A few days ago, the beta program went live for Vivo X27, X27 Pro & Nex 3. Today, news came out that Funtouch OS 10 is now available for download on Vivo Nex and Vivo S5 [for beta users] in China. If you are using any of these phones, you can participate in the beta program to taste the new features. Here are all the details about the update.

Vivo S5 Funtouch OS 10 Update

In the first testing batch, 5,000 users of Vivo S5 and Nex dual-screen can apply for the beta program. While 3,000 owners of Vivo Nex A and Nex screen fingerprint can join the program. Vivo has shared a form in which users can enter their details, once done, the update will arrive on your smartphone via OTA. As this is a beta version, it may have some bugs. The update brings the latest security patch alongside a bunch of new features.

In terms of features then, the Funtouch OS 10 comes with more minimal UI, brighter color elements, more rounded & original icons, live dynamic wallpapers, and a lot more. Not only this, but It also inherits all the basic features which are available in Android 10. The update is weighing under 4GB in size.   • The main interface is newly revised, and the visual design is more interesting, which is more preferred by children.
  • The content is more abundant, and suitable content can be recommended for children aged 0-12 according to age stage, including dozens of categories such as popular science puzzles, artistic influences, and more than 200 videos.


  • Security inspection, comprehensive security inspection of mobile phones, to create a safe environment for your use.

  • Added the option to customize the lock screen charging effect. Choose a charging effect that you like, and your phone will bloom after you lock the screen.
  • Optimized the processing logic of some menu levels and some menu functions.
