Simulator games are always enjoyable. These are games that let you experience things that you wouldn’t be able to experience or try due to a ton of various factors. This is why simulator games have gained a ton of popularity and will continue to do so.
You can find simulator games across various genres. Whether it is a vehicle simulator, job simulator, or any other profession- you will find it all. Today, we will be talking about a new truck simulator game that is coming soon to PC. Titled Truck World: Australia here is everything you need to know about the game.
Now, if you are someone that enjoys vehicle simulator games, you have surely heard or for that matter even played Euro Truck Simulator 2 or even American Truck Simulator. The games let you pick up a truck of your choice, select a job and complete the delivery. Apart from just doing deliveries, you have to monitor a ton of things such as driver rest, fuel, and time management, ensuring your vehicle is in good condition and not riddled up with fines or penalties. Anyways, let’s take a look at Truck World Australia release date, trailer, gameplay, and other details.
Truck World: Australia Release Date
The game was announced back in November of 2021 with a reveal trailer that talks about the tough and rough weather conditions of Australia and how truck drivers sacrifice everything while on their job. The release date for the game is however not revealed. Data on SteamDB states that the game might be released on the 29th of June, 2022. Do take this release date mentioned with a grain of salt as it can be changed at any time since there is no official announcement for the release date as of now.
Truck World: Australia – Publisher and Developer
This new truck simulator game is being developed by Truck World Studio and published by HyperTrain Digital. The same publisher of games like Black Book, Breathedge, Mask of Fury, Stoneshard, to name a few. They also have a ton of games lined up for release later this year.
Truck World: Australia Gameplay
Let’s talk about this gameโs gameplay. The devs have just released a short video that talks a bit about things you are expected to be doing in the game. Of course, it’s a simulator game that has a ton of delivery jobs for you to perform and earn. But that doesn’t stop just over there. While it is an open-world game, we aren’t sure how big the map is going to be nor do we know if there could be AI traffic in the game.
The gameplay overview shows you things that you would be able to do in other simulator games, especially truck simulator ones. While you will be able to control all the functions within your truck cab, you also switch and use each button on the dashboard and also turn on or turn off the radio by clicking on the player that is in the cabin. You will also be able to get out of your truck. Yes, as of now it is known that you can roam around in the first-person view. Apart from getting out of the cabin, you will also have to ensure that the load is properly secured to your trailer. If it’s loose, you can tighten it up. You will also have to disable the trailer stand brakes and also connect the cables from the trailer to your truck. It surely does bring in a lot of realism for a truck simulator game.
Because this game places its focus in Australia, you can expect a ton of Australian-related things like the harsh weather, various reptiles, and even bush fires that are common on the continent. While Australia is known for all of that, it is also known to have the longest Road Trains. Road Trains is nothing but trucks pulling out 3 or even more trailers at the same time with the heaviest loads you can expect. So yes, you will also be maneuvering such loads within the game.
There are a few things though we would like to see the devs reveal to the players. First, we need to know if there would be night and day changes, the types of trucks whether generic or officially licensed ones. We also need to see if the voiceovers will be done in the Australian accent and if we will also have to follow the traffic rules and regulations to that of Australia. Well, for all of this, we will have to wait a bit longer.
Truck World: Australia – Platforms, Game Editions and Multiplayer
So far the game is expected to be released for PC via Steam. The game can be added to the wishlist for now. With regards to game editions, we aren’t sure about it, and nor do we have any confirmation if the game will be having multiplayer modes or any other type of game mode inside it. However, we could hope to see the game show up on cloud gaming platforms like Google Stadia or even Nvidia GeForce NOW.
